This annual event supports families in the Third Ward and Blackshear neighborhoods by providing toys, clothing, meals, and essential resources.

Guests are encouraged to bring new, unwrapped toys or essential items such as tablets, coats, laptops, bikes, and wrapping supplies. All donations will support families in the surrounding community this holiday season.

Black Arts Movement Houston (BAM) will host the First Convening of Black Artists in Houston on November 21, 2025 at 7 PM at the historic DeLuxe Theater. This inaugural gathering brings together Black creatives across disciplines to strengthen connection, share resources, and shape a collective vision for the future of Black arts in Houston.

At the event, BAM Houston will launch a groundbreaking citywide survey to build the most comprehensive database of Black artists in Houston’s history. The evening will also introduce BAM’s new three-year strategic plan, including a transcontinental Artist Residency Program with Kigali, Rwanda and the Black Arts Movement Fellowship focused on healing-centered leadership.

All Black artists living or working in Houston are encouraged to participate and complete the survey.
